Striving toward a healthier community has long been a goal of the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce. In the spirit of that commitment, Sarah Larkin, chamber communications coordinator, said the chamber is partnering with Ideal Home Health Care, as well as numerous local chamber members and non-profit organizations to present the seventh annual Health and Fitness Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ardmore Convention Center.
A highlight to the event will be the Good Shepherd Clinic, providing personal health assessments and screenings on-site.
“This exciting event will cover subjects such as weight management, healthy cooking, health and fitness education, vision, dental, skin care, urgent care and home health products and services. Exhibitors will provide free product samples, healthy snacks, health screenings, and personal health assessments,” Larkin said. “Mercy Memorial Health Center will again have the ‘Kid’s Zone’ to delight kids of all ages with bounce houses and health information designed for the younger audience members.”
The Health and Fitness Expo is held in conjunction with the A2A Marathon that will occur on Sunday. To register or learn ways to volunteer visit www.a2amarathon.com. All A2A proceeds benefit Mercy Cancer Center. To ask questions call Mercy Health Foundation at (580) 220-6712.
