Funeral services for Louella Josephine “Lou” Garringer, 50, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey­-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory, conducted by Andy Rudd, a minister of Global Harvest. Mausoleum entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Serving as bearers will be James Hawley, Lee Hawley, Wesley Rhodes, Jody Rhodes, Ranson Lee and Tray Lane.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening at Harvey­-Douglas Funeral Home.
Born at Garrett, Ind., Aug. 12, 1965, to Joe Rhodes and Flo Bright Rhodes, Lou grew up and attended school at Avilla, Ind. She and Rex Garringer were married there Sept. 2, 1995.
Lou and her family moved to Ardmore during the summer of 2001 from Kendallville, Ind. She unexpectedly passed away at her Ardmore residence, Saturday, June 25, 2016.
A caring and giving parent and grandmother, Lou had raised her three children, as well as three of her grandchildren.
Her father, Joe Rhodes and a sister, Annie, preceded her in death.
Loving family that survive include, her husband, Rex Garringer of the home; her mother, Flo, also of the home; her daughter, Sarah Hawley and husband, Jimmy; and her sons, Anthony Garringer and Richard Rhodes; grandchildren, Cayleb and Kaden Hawley, Myla Rhodes and Gianna Rhodes; a daughter-in­law, Keila Rhodes; three sisters; and two brothers.
