TULSA — Thomas James Pasley, 49, passed away at his home surrounded by his family after a year-long courageous battle with cancer.
Thomas graduated from Ardmore High School in Ardmore, where he enjoyed the music department under the direction of Charlotte Hudgins, was President of the Latin Club, and was named an OU and OSU Scholar. During the summers, he attended the Interlochen National Music Camp in Michigan, for several years. Here, he was able to pursue his love for singing, acting and dancing. Thomas attended college at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. There, he majored in  voice drama, English, musical theatre, dance and theatre.
After graduation, Thomas began his professional career in New York City, where he distinguished himself on stage in various off Broadway productions. He spent a summer acting in productions at the “New Jersey Shakespeare Festival.” Illness brought Thomas back to Tulsa, where he was able to finish his degree at Northeastern State University.
He loved the theatre and was imbued in its’ magic.
He loved Michigan where he and his family spent their summers for nearly 20 years. It was a magical place with beautiful shimmering waters and the serenity of thick dense woods alive with natural song. At night you could reach up and almost touch the billions of stars and feel the benediction of the setting sun.
Thomas Pasley is survived by his parents, Ted and Sandra Pasley of Ardmore; his sister, Stephanie Munn of Tulsa; his sister, Nancy Fiebig (John) of Southlake, Texas; and his partner and caregiver, Patrick Uva.
We must thank St. Francis Hospice and the wonderful nurses that came to take care of our son.
A “Celebration of Life” gathering will be held for family and friends.
