The Tulsa men’s soccer team begin with three exhibition contests in preparation for the 2016 regular season.  All three games will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

 

The Golden Hurricane played Sunday against  NSCAA preseason fourth-ranked Maryland on.  The Terrapins tallied a 12-5-6 overall record, won the Big Ten Conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals last season.

 

Up next is a game against Oklahoma Wesleyan on Friday, followed by Central Arkansas on Saturday.  Both contests are set to begin at 7 p.m.  The Eagles were Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season and tournament champions a year ago, posting a 20-1 overall record and finishing in the second round of the NAIA Soccer Championship.  The Bears had a 2-15-1 mark last season.

 

TU tallied an 8-6-7 overall record, won the American Athletic Conference tournament title for the second-straight season, and advanced to the NCAA Championship Second Round last season.  The Hurricane welcomed back 13 letterwinners, including eight starters from a year ago, under the direction of Head Coach Tom McIntosh, who is in his 22nd season.
