MANNSVILLE — Frieda Joyce Brock, 72, of Mannsville, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at her home in Mannsville. She was born on April 20, 1944, in Oklahoma City, to the late Samuel Greeson and Ruby Cox Greeson.
Frieda was raised in Mannsville where she graduated high school in 1962. She married John Brock Sr. on July 22, 1961, in Dickson. Frieda retired in 2007 after 22 years working at the Clint Williams Peanut Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mannsville and she enjoyed bowling, knitting and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, John Brock, Mannsville; son, John Brock Jr., Mannsville; grandchildren, Paige Mize and husband, Eli, Sulphur, and Josh Brock, Ardmore; great-grandchild, Kimber Mize, Sulphur, and sister, Reeta Mays, Dickson.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Pansy Greeson; one son, Steven Brock; and one sister, Mary Lou Dorer.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Mannsville First Baptist Church, Mannsville. Kevin Russell and Jon Smith will officiate the service. Music arranged by Jon Smith, Sharon Barnes, Ronnie Colbert, Patsy Cargel and Debbie Barnes. Interment will be at the Mannsville Cemetery, Mannsville, Okla. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill.
Casket bearers will be John Brock Jr., Josh Brock, Eli Mize, Jimmy Potter, Ronnie Peoples, Lee Mays, Matt Krimmer, Billy Ray Dorer and Steve Maxey.
Honorary bearers will be Frieda’s Sunday School Class.
