Peggy Sue McGee went to her heavenly home on Sept. 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 21, 1958, to John Henry and Mary Virginia Antwine Green in Dallas, and raised in Garland, Texas. She moved to Oklahoma in 1981 where she met and married Jesse McGee May 28, 1982, in Milo. Peggy worked in the health care field for 19 years and was a case manager for Healthcare Innovation.

Peggy loved to travel, work in her flower garden, arts and crafts, and loved to fish. Most of all she enjoyed helping others.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jesse; sons, Antonio and Jesse McGee Jr.; her daughter, Detrycia McGee; and sisters, Shirley Deans, Barbara Smith, Betty Green and Virginia Igwe. Peggy also leaves grandchildren, Antonio Green, Asia Green, Kaden Douglass and Caylex Green, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

To greet her as she arrived at her heavenly home were her parents, John and Mary Green; and her brother, Ronald Green.

A celebration of her home going will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at CrystalRock Cathedral with the Rev. Ricky McGee officiating.

Interment will be at Jehovah Cemetery with the assistance of Kevin McGee, Ronald Green, Kenneth Giddings, Michael Knight, aka Black, Monty Shannon, Cecil McCarroll and Kameron Gee serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Aaron Green, Myles Cyrus and Michael Morrison.

A time of visitation and support for family and friends has been set from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at Harvey--Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory. Condolences may be sent to the family online at
