MARIETTA — A visitation for Evelyn Louise Mauldin, 91, formerly of Marietta, will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Marietta. Mrs. Mauldin will later be cremated.
Mrs. Mauldin was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Buford, Ga., the daughter of Henry O’Dell Edwards and Toy Estelle Owens Edwards. She passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the Pecan Tree Nursing Center in Gainesville, Texas.
In 1961, she married Avril D. Mauldin in Ardmore. Mrs. Mauldin was a homemaker who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to work in her garden and sew. Over the years, Mrs. Mauldin made numerous quilts for her family and friends.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Avril in 1987; two sons, Roger Dutton and James Dutton; and two brothers, James Edwards and Ernest Edwards.
Survivors include three sons, Williard Dutton of Cummings, Ga., Paul Dutton of Lone Grove, and Mark Mauldin of Durant; a daughter, Katherine Mauldin of Gainesville; a brother, Roy Edwards of Hoschton, Ga.; a sister, Katherine Knox of Duluth, Ga.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
