Rodger Cone Jeffcoats Sr. was born to Donald Ray Jeffcoats and Frances Juanita French Jeffcoats, Dec. 3, 1958, at Pauls Valley. Rodger passed away at his Springer residence Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the age of 57 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Growing up, Rodger attended schools in Durant, Mannsville, Dickson and Oklahoma City. Following his formal education he attended trade school, where he was trained in heating and air conditioning.
Rodger and the former Martha Meza were married Jan. 13, 1985, at Madill. After living in Oklahoma City for a time, the family moved to Ardmore in 2005 and he established “Rodger Jeffcoats, Heating and Air” business that he operated until 2011. He was presently associated with Allied Services.
Rodger was a family oriented man, he loved to sing and dance, behind closed doors, with his wife, Martha. A movie buff, he enjoyed all things ‘football’, especially the “Sooners” of the University of Oklahoma; but the pride and joy he was most proud of was his family.
Tough on his kids and his employees, Rodger wanted and expected the best from, and for them. He always expected A’s from his sons and daughter; and outstanding effort from his staff.
Rodger was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Juanita Jeffcoats; and a brother, Donald Calvin Jeffcoats.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Martha; three sons, Rodger C. Jeffcoats Jr., David A. Jeffcoats, and Michael B. Meza-Jeffcoats and his wife, Gebsy; a daughter, Tiffany Jeffcoats; his father, Donald R. Jeffcoats; brothers,  Ray Jeffcoats and wife, Bonnie, Timothy  Jeffcoats and wife, Kathy, Jimmy  Jeffcoats and wife, Mary, and Michael Jeffcoats and wife, Mimi; and sisters, Bernice Gibbs and Angela Mackey.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Brad Pletcher. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Madill.
Services have been entrusted to Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and Crematory, where a time of visitation and support for family and friends will be from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening. Condolences to the family may be sent online at www.hdouglasfuneralhome.com.
