Ardmore police are investigating an afternoon altercation that left one man hospitalized with two stab wounds and the assailant on his way to the Carter County Detention Center to await formal charges.

Capt. Keith Ingle, APD Criminal Investigations Division, said Jermaine Scallion was arrested after he was identified as the man who stabbed James Patchel in a parking lot, located in the 1200 block of Northwest Boulevard.

Patchel sustained two wounds to the chest and was admitted to Mercy Hospital Ardmore.

Ingle said Scallion was also treated for minor injuries in the hospital’s emergency before being booked into the county jail

“This appears to be the result of an ongoing domestic involving Scallion and his ex-wife, who is now Patchel’s girlfriend,” Ingle said.
