An ongoing domestic feud between an ex-husband, his former wife and her boyfriend exploded Friday afternoon in a stabbing in a Northwest Boulevard parking lot, sending the boyfriend to the hospital and the ex-husband to jail.
Capt. Keith Ingle, Ardmore Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, said Jermaine Scallion, 33, was arrested after being identified as the person who stabbed James Patchel twice in the chest.
“This appears to be the result of an ongoing domestic,” Ingle said during the initial stages of the investigation.
Patchel, was taken to Mercy Hospital-Ardmore, where he was admitted.
Ingle said Scallion also made a stop at the local emergency room on his way to the Carter County Detention Center.
“He managed to cut himself on the hand during the stabbing,” Ingle said explaining the detour en route to the county jail.
Scallion is jailed pending formal charges. Ingle said he anticipated reports will be sent to the district attorney’s office for review Monday. Scallion could make an initial appearance in district court Monday afternoon.
Court records indicate Scallion was convicted of misdemeanor domestic assault in 2004. In addition, court records also show both Scallion and his former wife sought protective orders against each other in July.
