A Dickson man was seriously injured Saturday night, approximately two miles south of Dickson in Carter County.
Bruce D. Vaughan, 42, was driving a Honda motorcycle northbound on Dickson Road around 7:39 p.m. when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right and then overcorrected, entered the roadway and laid over on it’s side, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Vaughan was transported by Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service to Mercy Hospital of Ardmore and later transported by Air-Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in critical condition with head and truck external injuries, the report shows.
Vaughan was not wearing a helmet and troopers listed his condition as “apparently normal.” The cause of the collision is pending investigation.
