Funeral services for Calvin Woodson Baker, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, in Ardmore, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will be at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Calvin was born Jan. 2, 1944, in Waco, Texas, to the late Herman and Awilda Baker. He passed from this life Oct. 28, 2016, after a brief illness at North Hills Hospital, North Richland Hills, Texas.
A resident of Texas, he married Jan Ilniski of Ardmore, on June 13, 1964. They shared a loving marriage of 52 years.
He was employed with Xerox for 30 years and retired in 2013. He enjoyed computer technology and his administrative roll with navydads.com.
Survivors include his wife, Jan of the home; two daughters, Princess Cunningham and husband, Matt and Christina Gibson and husband, Matt; sister, Judy Templeton; sisters-in-law, Donna Ilniski and Mohnda Ilniski; nieces, Carrie and Casie; aunt, Ara Sanders; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; and many loved ones.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Mike Ilniski; and his best friend/fur-baby, “Modo.”
Pallbearers will be Matt Gibson, Matt Cunningham, Michael Baker, Jack Hinkle, Corey Tucker and Craig Cummins.
