(OKLAHOMA CITY) -Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City is offering college scholarships to graduating high school seniors who reside in Central and Western Oklahoma and North Texas counties. Applications are available now through Jan. 18, 2017.   Scholarship awards range from $1,500 to $10,000.  In addition to single-year scholarships of $1,500 or $2,500, four multi-year scholarships will be awarded, one in each available program including RMHC®/Scholars, RMHC®/Asia, RMHC®/African-American Future Achievers and RMHC®/HACER®.  The $10,000 multi-year awards are payable $2,500 each year for four consecutive years of full time study commencing with the 2017-2018 academic year.   The top scoring candidates in each program will be interviewed by the RMHC-OKC scholarship committee to determine multi-year recipients.
Since 2003, RMHC-OKC has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.   "This is a wonderful opportunity for high school seniors pursuing their dreams through higher education," said Susan Adams, president and chief executive officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities Oklahoma City. The deadline to apply for a scholarship for the 2017-2018 academic year is Jan. 18, 2017. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship award status by June 30, 2017.
