The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 20-year-old Ardmore woman died Wednesday night in a single vehicle crash on a Love County road.
Desiraye A. Morey, was pronounced dead at the scene about 10:29 p.m. Reports indicate Morey was a passenger in a 2015 Chevrolet driven by Dakota J. Pierce, 19, Healdton. Pierce was airlifted from the crash site and admitted in stable condition to Medical City in Plano, Texas, with unknown injuries. A 13-year-old Ardmore boy, identified as another passenger in the car was pinned in the wreckage for about two hours before being freed by Criner Hills firefighters. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Ardmore where he was admitted in stable condition with unknown injuries.
Pierce was driving westbound on Oswalt Road, when the car ran off the road. The investigation shows Pierce overcorrected, sending the car off the road for the second time and coming to rest in a ditch.
The patrol says all three were wearing seatbelts.
Early today the patrol reported the condition of the driver and the circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation.
