Ernestine Carr Davison departed this earth on December 17, 2016.  She, with the help of the God Lord, did it on her terms.
Ernestine was born on August 26, 1925, in Wylie, Texas, to Charlie and Sally Cleary Carr. At the age of 70, she retired and spent the next 21 years of her life doing the things that gave her the most pleasure, dancing, fishing and gardening. She excelled at them all.
She is survived by her daughter, Sally Godfrey of Ardmore; two grandsons, Trey Hulsey and wife, Gina of Ardmore, Dustin Davison and wife, Brianna of Edmond; her granddaughter, Brandi Bowers and husband, Don of Oklahoma City; three beautiful great-granddaughters; her sister, Mina Ewing and husband, Jack of Tulia, Texas; and her best friend and dancing partner, Jim Meeks.  
She was preceded in death by her parents,  sons, Sammie M. and Joe Edward Davison; three brothers and a sister.
Ernestine left this life as she wanted, dancing all the way and wants all her numerous friends to continue to do the same.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to God’s special angels at Cross Timbers Hospice.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, December 20, at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
