Jim was born Oct. 3, 1941, in Ardmore, to James Edward Posey and Kathleen Louise (Wilkes) Posey. He went to be with The Lord Dec. 9, 2016, at his home in Crosby, Texas.
A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church, 1906 Myall Rd., Ardmore, OK. Jim worked most of his life in the motorcycle industry in Oklahoma, California and Texas, and was an avid motorcycle flat track (88M) racer. Jim had a great sense of humor, always making those around him smile and laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two stillborn siblings; and his first wife, Irene Vivian (Noack) Posey.
He is survived by his wife, Eloisa Posey of Crosby, Texas; his son and his wife (Richard and Cynthia Posey) of Allen, Texas; daughter and her husband (Donna and Gerald Bell) of Ardmore; grandchildren, (Gloria, Cassi, Jillian, Dru, Paola and Jake); great-grandchildren, (Isabell, Corynn, Lydia, Carsen, Ryleigh, Trace, Journi, Parker and Sunshine); also his special furry buddies, Charlie and Poncho. Honorary pallbearers: Jim (JB) Battles, Bob Smith, Walt Darley, Bill Carr, Allen Jackson, Dru Bell and Jake Posey.
