Lucille Hancock was born the sixth of seven children on March 20, 1920, to Lee Andrew and Sophia Izora Frances (Wooden) Garman in Delaware County, Okla. She passed from this life on March 6, 2017, at the age of 96. Lucille married Samuel Benjamin Hancock on June 2, 1942. She played in the Drumright Kitchen Band. Lucille worked as a caregiver helping the developmentally delayed in Roswell, New Mexico.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Hancock; and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Erwin Hancock and his wife, Kim of Lone Grove, and Kirby L. Hancock and his wife, Kathleen of Ripon, Calif.; grandchildren, Samuel “Brandon” Hancock and his wife, Stephanie of Oklahoma City, Tiffany Shay Webb and her husband, Heath of Yukon, Okla., and Laura Braley and her husband, Mark of Modesto, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Anabelle Hancock, Gideon Braley, Linken Webb, August Hancock and Kennedy Webb.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at Craddock Memorial Chapel with Brother Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Alden Forbau, Mike Smith, Mike Forbau, Heath Webb, Brock Forbau and David Campbell will serve as pallbearers.
