LONE GROVE — Longtime Ardmoreite Retta West Fisher, 89, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in an Ardmore convalescent home. Born to the late Bouge and Mollie Josephine (Franklin) West March 24, 1927, at Healdton, she had lived in Ardmore since a youth.
Retta was of the Baptist faith and always looked forward to fixing Sunday dinner for her family. Most of her life she worked as either a cook or waitress in area restaurants.
She is survived by her four daughters, Annette Harrison, Terra Ross and husband, Gary, Jan Hannabass and Rita Ann Ingram and husband, Frank; a son, Harold Ray Fisher and wife, Linda; five grandchildren, Jeremy Harrison, Jennifer Soelberg and husband, Eric, Karley Ingram, Katy Cunningham and husband, Brantley and Courtney Fisher-McGehee and husband, Aaron; five great-grandchildren, Kayli, Riley and Ryder Ingram, and Harlow and Alexandra Soelberg; and special nieces, Jeanie Robinson and Angie Hawkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers; three sisters; and two sons-in-law, Mike Harrison and Darwin Hannabass.
A time of visitation and support for family and friends will be from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Lone Grove Cemetery conducted by the Reverend David Ross.
