Army veteran, Jerry Wayne Roe, 70, passed away March 29, 2017, in the Arbuckle Hospital at Sulphur, Okla., following an extended period of illness. He was born to the late Carl Edward and Lavada Sanderford Roe, March 22, 1947, in Ardmore, Okla.
Jerry attended schools in Ardmore and after high school he enlisted in the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged.  
Returning to Ardmore, Jerry worked around Ardmore before hiring on at Uniroyal. He retired from Michelin Tire company as an inspector. As a youth, Jerry joined the Southwest Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Edward Roe; and his niece, Karen Adele Skeen.  
Survivors include his two sisters, Mary Schweikhart and Carylon Kelty both of Ardmore; his former wife and caregiver, Debra Roe, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial  graveside services will be 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery Monday, April 3, 2017, with his nephews conducting the services.
