Graveside services for Jimmy Frost, 84, will be 3 p.m. Friday afternoon at Rose Hill Cemetery with his great-niece, the Reverend Katie Hill officiating.
The son of the late Marcus C. and Rosa Etta Glisson Frost, Jimmy was born Sept. 17, 1942, at Fox, Okla., and went to be with his Lord on April 3, 2017, in Ardmore.
The family moved to Ardmore in 1937, and Jimmy attended Ardmore Schools and due to his health was unable to finish high school. He loved to swim and fish. Jimmy accepted Christ as his Lord when he was 14, and had been a member of the First Baptist Church ever since. He was a devoted caregiver to his mother until her death.
Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Inola Brown, Madill, Bobbie Nyemaster and Thelma Digirno, both of California, and Maxine Terry and her husband, John of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by nine nieces; six nephews; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Ira; and six sisters, Vera Frost, an infant sister, Mary Miller, Iris Frost, Zelma Frost and Carol Dufour.
