There will be plenty of slow pitch softball on tap today across the area.
Beginning at 10 a.m. today, Plainview High School will play host to a one-day Slow Pitch tournament, with multiple teams involved.
Thackerville and Plainview will be the opening contest in the morning, with the winner getting a matchup with the No. 7 Sulphur Lady Bulldogs at noon.
In the other first round matchup of the morning, Comanche will be taking on the Southmoore JV squad at 11 a.m. with the advancing team playing the No. 6 Turner Lady Falcons at 1 p.m.
Games will continue throughout the day with the championship taking place at 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, at Dickson High School, the Lady Comets will be hosting a two-day tournament, with multiple teams involved in the action.
Dickson will be in action at 10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. taking on Maud and Madill.
Madill will then face off with Maud beginning at 12:20 p.m.
Healdton’s Lady Bulldogs will be in action at 1:30 against Maud, before taking on Ringling at 3:50 p.m. and Marietta at 5 p.m.
Ringling will play the 2:40 p.m. contest against Madill, before finishing the opening day against Marietta at 6:10 p.m.
On Friday the schedule of games is as follows: Maud/Ringling (10 a.m.), Maud/Marietta (11:10 a.m.),
Dickson/Ringling (12:20 p.m.), Marietta/Madill (1:30 p.m.), Marietta/Dickson (2:40 p.m.), Healdton/Madill (3:50 p.m.) and Healdton vs. Dickson (5 p.m.)
Davis and Wilson will be participating in the Firelake Festival from Shawnee today, while Kingston will be at the Caney Tournament.
