MANNSVILLE — Memorial services for Darin “Doh Boi” Micheal Griffin, age 39, of Mannsville, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at the Mannsville Assembly of God Church in Mannsville, Okla.
He was born March 9, 1978, in Ada, Okla., to Micheal Griffin and Lanita Gail Huff. He passed away on May 8, 2017.
Darin is survived by his wife, Lauren DanNette Griffin, the love of his life; two sons, Chason Dane Griffin of Oklahoma City and Kobe Daniel Griffin of Eufaula; three daughters, Kaydence Micahela Sue, Trinity Danette and Destiny Danielle Griffin of the home; mother, Lanita Stewart of Ada; father, Micheal “Mickey” Griffin and wife, Rebecca Griffin of Ada; three brothers, Adam Griffin of Okemah, Curtis Keller of Ada, and Brandon Cox of Ada; three sisters, Kristy Dewitt of Okmulgee, Chelsea Sweet of Ada, and Cassie Cox of Ada; “Mimi,” Sandy Morgan and his uncle “Crabbie,” Danny Hitchcock of Mannsville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He attended Vanoss Schools and graduated from Ada High School in 1996. He received his Associate Degree in General Studies at Murray State College in 2014, his Bachelor’s in Social Work from East Central University in 2016, and recently completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma.
He attended church at Mannsville Assembly of God and Ravia Church of God where he played drums on the worship team. Darin loved OKC Thunder Basketball and OU football. He enjoyed spending time with his children and wife, playing the drums, conspiracy theories, and serving the community in any way possible. He was the secretary on the Mannsville School Board and Chairperson of the Johnson O’Malley Program. He also served on the Johnston County INCA Policy Board.
Honorary pallbearers are Robert Renfro, Roy Justice, Jerry Bivins, John Thomas, Mike Harbin, Mark Stevenson, Seth Morgan and Jacob Morgan.
