MANNSVILLE — Michael Dewayne Cothran 68, of Mannsville, Okla., passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore. He was born on July 24, 1949, in Ardmore to the late Edwin Cothran and Iva Lou Bailey Cothran. Mike was raised in Mannsville, where he graduated from high school in 1967, and he later attended Murray State College. Mike married Susan Nelms on February 27, 1970, in Mill Creek, Okla. He retired after 37 years from Michelin Tire Company as a supervisor. Mike was a member of the Methodist Church in Mannsville and he enjoyed raising sheep and fishing. His greatest love was watching his grandkids show animals and doing their activities.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Cothran, of the home; his children, Brian Cothran and wife Ginger, of Tishomingo, and Brianne Cothran, of Mannsville; grandchildren, Macy Cothran and Cody Cothran; brothers, Charles Cothran and wife Susan, of Stonewall, Okla., and Gary Cothran, of Ardmore; sister, Jorene Little and husband, David of Kingston.
Visitation will be Friday at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a family hour from 6- 8 p.m.
Services will be Saturday, September 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill.  Harold Hunt will officiate the service. Music arranged by Jackie Peoples. Interment will be at the Mannsville Cemetery.Pall bearers will be: Kassie Cothran, Gary (Bam) Cothran, John Ruiz, Anthony Ruiz, Gary Riley, and Ricky Romines, with honorary bearers: Mike Beane, David Dill, Johnny Nelms, David Little, Charles Cothran and Louis Meadors.
