Theda “Deloris” (Hill) Mock was born June 23, 1923, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She passed peacefully from this life on September 6, 2017, at the age of 94.
Deloris’ parents were Lois and Lillie Hill; she had one sister, Gloria. She moved with her parents at the age of 2 to Mr. View, Okla., where she attended school and graduated with the class of 1941. Deloris played basketball in school and her team advanced to the state basketball tournament her senior year. She married her childhood sweetheart, Frank Elton Mock on May 10, 1942, and their love affair lasted 49 years, until his death in 1991. The moved to Ardmore in 1950.
Deloris generally enjoyed the outdoors, maintaining her garden and crafts of needlepoint and counted cross stitch. One of her favorite places to visit was South Padre Island, Texas, where she enjoyed the sun, sand, and water.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Mock, infant daughter, Frankie Deloris, in 1946, her son, Terry Frank, in 2005, and her parents. She leaves the following loved ones to mourn her passing: Daughters; Becky Williams and her husband Joel, and Jana Jackson and her husband Kenney; granddaughter, Frankie Bell and her husband Dillon; great-granddaughter Maggie and great-grandson Miles; granddaughter Kenna Smith and her husband Dustin; great-grandson Alexander, and great-granddaughter Kenlee, all of Ardmore; grandson Carl Jackson and his wife Mattie; great-granddaughters Sacra and Emory, of Goldsby, Okla.; granddaughter Kara Fletcher and her husband Michael; great-granddaughter Lillian of Seattle, Washington; sister Gloria Welch and her husband John of Norman, Okla.; and special cousin Betty Kidd of Ardmore, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 9, at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Sam Donica officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
