2 A weeklong celebration of Hispanic culture, food and music  continues this week through Saturday at WinStar World Casino and Resort.
“This inaugural Hispanic Heritage Week at WinStar is meant to feature the Hispanic culture during a time of traditional celebration across the nation as many Latin American countries recognize their independence,” said Jenny Cross, casino assistant manager. “The entertainment and festivities we have lined up will create a memorable experience for patrons who want to be immersed in the fun and flare along with our unique resort experience.”
Free, live entertainment will be featured throughout the week in the Rome plaza, which will be adorned with vibrant décor. Gran Via Buffet will feature a culinary celebration with a special Hispanic-inspired menu all week. 3 The Sprint Series of Oklahoma Championship Race kicks off at 8 p.m. Friday at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway The event will be the last points race for the current Sprint Series of Oklahoma Championship season.  Sprint Series of Oklahoma  started in 2016.  The track is located at 2789 US Highway 77.
4 The Trucks Tacos Part 2 Bike and Car Show begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at  the Mill Street Garage, 32 Mill St NE.
The custom car, truck and bike show will include food vendors. A portion of sales will be donated to the Ardmore area children’s shelter.

5 The Canadian Valley Farms and Cleveland Co. Conservation District will host a free introductory workshop on the benefits of beekeeping for both urban and agricultural landowners at 5 p.m. Thursday. It’s a hands-on experience unlike any other. If you feel daring you can suit up and learn more about the basics of beekeeping and how bees can impact your production. If you produce a crop, whether in the back 40 or in your backyard, you don’t want to miss this beneficial workshop.
