After picking up a victory Friday afternoon in blowout fashion, Ringling fell in a close contest Saturday against Prairie Valley.

The Blue Devils earned their second win of the season with a victory over the Saint Jo junior varsity by a score of 51-15.

Sam Van Buskirk scored 10 points to lead the Blue Devils with Drake Stapleton scoring eight points.

Ringling fell on Saturday afternoon 39-37.

Caige Calvert led the Blue Devils with 14 points followed by Zackary Cargile with 10 points.

Ringling (2-2) will be back in action Thursday at the Wilson Black and Gold Classic.


The Healdton Bulldogs are off to a 4-0 start to the season after finishing up the Saint Jo tournament with two more victories.

HHS took down the Sacred Heart Tigers Friday afternoon by a score of 57-44, before defeating Alford 69-52 in its game on Saturday.

Denton Miller led the Bulldogs in scoring against the Tigers with 19 points.

Against Alford, Miller scored 23 points, while Coty Scott scored 21 points, and Cale Tolliver added 17 points.

Healdton will be back at home Tuesday night taking on Empire.


A road trip to start the season was no problem for the Plainview Indians who claimed a 61-39 victory over Durant Friday night.

PHS held the Lions to just four points in the first quarter, and 13 for the entire first half.

The Indians scored 35 in the second half to claim the victory.

Blake Nowell led the scoring with 16 points on the night followed by Devin Jones with 12 points.


It was home sweet home for the Marietta Indians as they opened the 2017-18 season with a blowout victory over Wynnewood Friday night.

The Indians won 74-39, with Trace Stewart scoring 16 points to lead the Indians.

Colton Taylor added 13 points with Zane Nutter scoring 12 points and Tagunn Matthews adding 11 points.

Marietta will be back in action Thursday at the Madill Winter Classic Tournament.

In other action from the weekend, the Madill Wildcats won their opening game by a score of 71-55 over Tishomingo, while the Lone Grove Longhorns moved to 3-0 on the season with a 56-41 road victory over Calera.

Madill will host the Winter Classic Thursday.

Kemyon Sophus led the Longhorns with 18 points followed by Sheldon Brown with 13 points. 

Lone Grove will be back in action Thursday against Chandler in the opening round of the Bethel Tournament.

Wilson was also victorious Thursday night winning against Temple by a score of 60-39.
