WILSON — Services for Boonhom “Hom” (Nilkhamphee) Idleman, 74, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Healdton with Brother Bill Hunter officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson.
Hom was born Nov. 1, 1943, at Ban Chaing, Thailand, to the late Mr. Pong Nilkhamphee and Mrs. Boonchan (Supnoiwah) Nilkhamphee. She departed this life on Jan. 26, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Hom was raised in Thailand, and graduated from high school there. She was working as a seamstress at the United States Air Force Base, in Udon Thani, when she met the love of her life, Mr. Thomas E. Idleman. They were married on April 19, 1969, in Thailand. Hom then moved to the United States where they would raise their six daughters.
Mrs. Idleman started working at the age of 14 selling fruit and various other things. She was an entrepreneur at heart and was successful in all her ventures. Hom was a hard worker and was a very determined woman who would not stop until she got the job done. She and Tom owned and operated several different restaurants. She was known for her famous egg rolls and Americanized Asian cuisine. Hom was a loving mother and grandmother; the love she had for her husband and all of her family was a love bigger than the world itself.
Hom was extremely devout in her beliefs and service to her heavenly father, Jehovah. One of her favorite things to do was go door-to-door and preach to others about the good news of God’s Kingdom.
Mrs. Idleman is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Pong Nilkhamphee.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Thomas E. Idleman of the home; six daughters, Doungsri Sutthiboon of Ft. Worth, Texas, Dawn George and Gus, of St. Augustine, Fla., Kinnali (Thim) Jordan and Lowell, of Sachse, Texas, Linda Sue Houchin and Jeff, of Ardmore, Tommi Weatherford and Scott, of Ardmore, and Sherri Brown and Edward, of Ardmore; mother, Boonchan Nilkhamphee of Udon Thani, Thailand; sisters, Boonthom Thatthamla of Ft.
