In the world of cheer there are plenty of big stages to perform on.

It’s not often though a cheer team gets to perform on a big stage and do it in the same place as a famous NFL cheer team.

For the Ardmore based Oklahoma Outlaws Cheer and Tumbling Gym, they not only got this opportunity recently but brought home some hardware in the process.

On January 27th a total of seven teams representing the program competed in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Competition, which was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

More than 4,500 athletes competed in the event, which included several national titles for the Outlaws.

The Senior coed level 3 squad along with Senior prep level 2, Youth prep level 2, and Youth prep level 1 novice all managed to claim national champion all-star titles.

In addition, the Junior prep level 3 squad managed to claim second in its division, while the Tiny prep level 1 team earned third place overall.

Also at the event, the tiny show team which is comprised of performers ages 3-6, made their debut on the competition stage.

“We are so proud of all the cheerleaders for competing strong routines at this event, and this is an amazing start to our competition season,” coach Ashton Adams said. “Oklahoma Outlaws is a blessed gym. All of our teams performed great at this event and the results were just as exciting for us. These kids put in a lot of hard work and preparation. Our gym has athletes from more than 20 towns that commute to practice each week so we’re very proud of the dedication they show and the effort they put in for us.”

The Oklahoma Outlaws squads will be back on the performing stages this weekend in Tulsa.
