Ardmore Police arrested two local men Wednesday after a fictitious car license plate tipped them off to suspicious activity.
The car, a maroon Nissan, was in the 3200 block of 12th Avenue NW at the time of the vehicle check.
“The vehicle was parked,” said Ardmore Police Capt. Keith Ingle. “The displayed tag belonged to a different vehicle.”
Officer Kevin Knopp arrested the driver, Joshua Dylan Bolding, 24, of Ardmore, on an outstanding Carter County warrant for grand larceny and the district misdemeanor of resisting an officer. The passenger, Matthew Shane Bolding, 27, was also arrested on several outstanding warrants from Cooke County, Texas. Dispatch advised that Matthew Bolding was a fugitive from justice and Cooke County was willing to extradite.
The fictitious license plate was seized and booked as evidence and the vehicle was towed. Both men were booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
Misdemeanor charges are currently pending for Joshua Bolding in Carter County District Court. Matthew Bolding is awaiting extradition.
