Two area residents were arrested after Ardmore police located a vehicle in which they were located in but were not authorized to use. APD Officer Kevin Kropp located said vehicle in the 1700 block of North Commerce at about 1:42 a.m. Wednesday.
APD Capt. Keith Ingle said two subjects, both of whom had active warrants, were found together in the parking lot of a local business. Ingle said the vehicle also allegedly contained firearms as well as methamphetamine and marijuana.
Shawn Greene, 46, and Tanya Austin, 42, each had outstanding warrants. Greene was arrested for a Carter County warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Greene was also charged for the district felonies of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm after felony conviction, possession of a ‘sawed-off’ shotgun.
Kropp also charged Greene with the district misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Austin was arrested for an outstanding Carter County warrant for failure to pay on a possession of methamphetamine case. Both were booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
Carter County District Court records showed Greene being held on a $75,000 bond for the combination of felony and misdemeanor charges.
Court records did not reflect new or pending charges for Austin as of press time.
