Funeral services for Starr Ranaye “Meemaw” Cunningham, 70, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend David Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m.
Ranaye was born to the late Doris Ray Holland and Sylvia Nadine (Williams) Holland on October 3, 1947 in Long Beach, Ca., and passed away on July 6, 2018, after a brief illness.
Her early education came while attending Healdton Public Schools in Healdton, Oklahoma but later she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach, California.
Ranaye was a retiree from the City of Ardmore where she worked as office manager for the Parks and Recreations Department.  During her retirement, she worked part time at Lone Grove Storage and The Legacy Boutique as book keeper.  Ranaye also had a special place in her heart for dogs. She was the loving dog-mom of her four fur babies: Luke, Lucy, Libby, and Caesar.
She was also a proud Meemaw to her four grandchildren: Morgan Blair-Cunningham, Jake Preston Cunningham, Caleb Thomas Cunningham, and Emerson Claire Cunningham. Though she had her biological grandkids, she was known as Meemaw to many. Her loving, caring personality captured the attention of numerous people. She had a heart of gold and would never hesitate to help others.
She is survived by her husband, John David Cunningham of Lone Grove; her children and in laws: Scott David Cunningham and Starla Dawn Cunningham of Lone Grove, Christopher John Cunningham and Jared Christian Bailey of Arlington, Texas, her four grandchildren: Morgan Blair Cunningham of Norman, Jake Preston Cunningham of Lone Grove, Caleb Thomas Cunningham of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Emerson Claire Cunningham of Ft. Worth, Texas, her brother: Terry Ray Holland and wife Sharon of Oklahoma City, nephew: Jeffery Holland of Moreno Valley, California, a niece: Melissa Holland of Tigard, Oregon.
Pallbearers will be: Kenny Ridley, Kaden Ridley, Curtis Cole, Stacy Phelps, Jake Melton and Tim Beard.
