William Mack Stafford 69, of Oakland, Okla., passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at his home in Oakland. He was born on April 6, 1949, in Madill to the late Carol Duane Stafford and Doris Ouilda Grayson Stafford. Mack was raised in Madill where he graduated from Madill High School in 1967. He attended Murray State Collage where he received his Associate’s Degree in Business and he later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Mack worked in banking for 40 plus years and retired from Landmark Bank as Vice President in 2013.   It was an honor for Mack to work under such great businessmen as Robert Watts, Gene Rainbolt, Bill Brewster and Mark Landrum. Mack was on the Murray State College Board of Regents for five years. He loved sports of all kinds and kept the stats for the Madill High Football team for 25 years. Mack was a member of the Madill Rotary Club where he was past president. He served on the Madill Sandbass Festival committee since 1963.  Mack loved watching OU Football and was an Honorary Member of the OU Letterman’s Club. He attended the Grantham Baptist Church and Oakview Baptist Church.  Mack enjoyed woodworking, farming and loved his dog “Boss.”
He is survived by Brothers Eddie Stafford and wife Judy, Frisco, Texas and Bink Stafford, Madill. Nieces and Nephews Lindsey Grooms and husband Arron, Olivia Stafford, Kari Bailey and husband Brian, Brooke Stafford and wife Melisha; Great Nieces and Nephews Lyla and Elsie Grooms, Joey and J, Bailey, Wilson and Grant Stafford and Special Caretaker Sandy Floyd of Ardmore.
Casket Bearers will include Matt Floyd, Gary Ayres, Terry Rushing, Chuck McHatton, Justin Jeffus, Donny Raley and J. Bailey with Honorary Bearers Mike Metheny, David Dunn, Bryant Watts, MB Watts and Brad Watts.            
 Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27, at the Watts Funeral Home in Madill, with a family hour from 6 to 7 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Aug, 28 ,at Watts Memorial Chapel in Madill.  Greg Idell and Ron Armitage will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry -Forest Cemetery in Madill.   Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home in Madill. Online condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
