Willis — Steven Ray Bruffy 65, of Gordonville, Texas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, at his home in Gordonville. He was born on Aug. 25, 1952, in Tulsa, to the late Leonard Letcher Bruffy and Lucretia Hensley Bruffy.
Steven was raised in Fort Worth, Texas, where he graduated from the L.D. Bell High School in 1970. He joined the United States Air Force and served for nine years before going to work for Honeywell and Kodak where he worked for 25 years. Steven also worked for the Winstar Casino for the past 15 years.
He married Janase Taylor on June 2, 2008, in Nashville, Tenn. Steven enjoyed boating, going to the lake and going out to eat seafood. His greatest joy was spending time with family, having a good drink and playing pool.
He is survived by wife Janase Bruffy, Gordonville; children, Steven Bruffy Jr., Tennessee, Shawn Bruffy, Gordonville, Chelsea Bruffy and fiancé Scott Zeier, Tulsa; sister, Loretta Bruffy, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Tyler Bruffy, Caleb Bruffy, Bryce Bruffy, Jacob Bruffy, Jemma Hargis and Jarrett Hargis
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joe Bruffy; and ex-wife, Beverly Martin.
Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Willis Cemetery, Willis, Okla. Scott Zeier will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill.
