The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports there was a collision with injury on Sorghum Road Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. four miles west of Overbrook in Love County.
The vehicle, a 1999 Chevrolet pickup was driven by a 17 year old female resident of Overbrook. The juvenile was transported by Eagle Med to Plano Medical Center in Plano and admitted in critical condition with trunk, internal and head injuries.
The vehicle was east bound on a county road when it apparently ran off the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. The driver then overcorrected to the left and overturned twice, ejecting the driver 20 feet from the vehicle.
OHP reports seatbelts were not in use and airbags did deploy. Weather conditions are listed in investigating Trooper Michale Rodriquez’s report as cloudy with the roadway dry.
Troopers were assisted by Criner Hills Volunteer Fire Department and Love County EMS.
The cause of the collision is pending investigation.
