The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting that a Bethany woman was killed in a collision Wednesday on Intestate 35 near Springer.
According to trooper reports, Angela Leigh Garner, 47, of Bethany, was injured in a collision with a 2005 Peterbilt semi before being transferred to Mercy Hospital-Ardmore where she died from injuries sustained in this collision.
According to the reports, Garner was riding as a passenger in a 2016 Nissan when the vehicle began to hydroplane before departing the roadway and striking the center median cable barrier. The vehicle then reentered the roadway where it was struck by the oncoming semi.
According to reports, the Ardmore Fire Department freed the driver of the Nissan, who was transported by Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service to Mercy Hospital-Ardmore before being transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. The diver was listed in fair condition with trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
The driver of the semi involved was not injured in the collision.
