A Sulphur man was arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon on charges of driving under the influence, receiving, possession, or concealing stolen property and carrying a firearm after felony conviction.
Gary Lynn Clifton, 27, was
formally charged with a felony count of felonious possession of a firearm in Carter County District Court.
The matter was heard before Special District Judge Carson Brooks Wednesday. Brooks set bond for Clifton in the amount of $10,000. The preliminary hearing was set for November 29.
Charging information for additional misdemeanor charges stemming from the Wednesday arrest have not yet been filed publicly as of press time.
