Madill — Retha June Isbell Brown Comes, 73, of Tishomingo, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City. 

She was born on Aug. 6, 1945, in Modesto, Calif., to the late Walter Alva Isbell and Gwendolla Gilliam Isbell. Retha moved to Ravia where she was raised and graduated from Ravia High School in 1964.  

She lived in Oklahoma City and later in Dallas, Texas, where she worked for Flintkote in the sales department, the US Postal Service and was a secretary for an attorney. In 1992, she moved to Ravia where she lived the rest of her life. 

Retha married Michael Ernest Comes on July 1, 1983, in Dallas. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church and she enjoyed working outside, gardening, sitting on the front porch watching the cows, sunsets and sunrises. She loved taking trips and raising kids. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Ernest Comes, of Tishomingo; children, Darryl L. Brown, of Oklahoma City,  Bobby Brown, of Moore, Stephen Comes, of Ravia, Joshua Wright and wife Katelynn, of Achille,  Sean M. Dean and wife Emillie, of Ravia, Teresa Wright, of Ravia, Stephanie Dean and husband Sean, of Lone Grove, Roseanne Dean, of Colbert, and Cindra St. Clair and husband Blake, of Ravia; grandchild, Collin Brown; great-grandchildren, Karsynn Wright, Michael Dean, and two expecting in the Spring; brothers, Sam Isbell, of Oklahoma, Al Daniel Leah, of Oklahoma City; sister, Wydolla Brantley, of Alex, Okla.

Retha was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Tommy Brown.

Casket Bearers will be Stephen Comes, Sean Dean, Blake St. Clair and Joshua Wright

Honorary Bearers will be Bobby Brown, Darryl Brown, Sam Isabell, Al Daniel Leal and Don Brantley

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a family hour from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill. 

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at the Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill. Don Williams will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Lone Cedar Cemetery in Mannsville. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill.
