The Blue Devils raced out to a 28-point first quarter, overwhelming the Velma-Alma Comets and eventually leading to a 56-0 victory at Rick Gandy Memorial Stadium. 

With the victory, the Blue Devils have clinched a playoff spot and maintain their hold on first place in the district A-4 standings at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in district play.

Ringling is on the road at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night for a district contest against the Rush Springs Redskins. 

Caige Calvert got the Blue Devils on the board just 50 seconds into the game when he caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Sam Vanbuskirk to make it 7-0.

Vanbuskirk then got his second touchdown of the night on a one yard-touchdown run, before Ethan Johnson added the two-point conversion to make it 15-0.

Colton Pickelsimer then got on the board with a 10-yard touchdown run with just over a minute to go in the first quarter to make it 22-0.

Chandler Roberts finished off a stellar first quarter with a 45-yard touchdown run as time expired, with the extra point failing. 

Duchaine Paul made it 35-0 when he caught a 24-yard pass from Vanbuskirk to make it 35-0 in the second quarter.

Scotty Paul and Vanbuskirk would finish off the first half for the Blue Devils with touchdown runs of 33 and four yard to send Ringling into the locker room leading 49-0.

Marshall Howell had the final touchdown of the game in the third quarter on a one-yard touchdown run.

Vanbuskirk finished the evening 5-of-6 passing for 105 yards, while Kash Lyle was the leading rusher for the Blue Devils with eight carries for 79 yards.
