This Saturday night, the term “fighting for a cause” will take on a very special meaning.

Beginning at 7 p.m. at the Ardmore Convention Center, the Final Round Championship promotion will present FRC Fight Night 15, with the event being sponsored by The Veterans Alliance group.

With every general admission ticket purchased, there is the option to buy a second ticket so a military veteran can attend the show.

The Veterans Alliance is a group that tries to teach veterans suffering from PTSD the benefits of CBD oil and hemp.

This will be the third event the FRC promotion has put on during the 2018 calendar year.

“We are trying to see how many vets that we could get to the show,” FRC owner Troy Green said. “We are trying to get some vets from the VA Center so we are trying to get the public to buy tickets, right now we have 20-25 vets coming.”

A total of 10 fights are slated to take place Saturday night, with five fighters representing the Ardmore area.

The fighters from Ardmore are Matthew “ The Hitman” Hickman, Eddie “The Sandman” Sims, Blane “Big Ruby” Reumann, Braxton Miles and Jake Norton.

Hickman, who is fighting in his third amateur fight is excited to put on a show in front of is hometown fans, even going as far as giving a prediction.

“First round knockout,” Hickman said. “ Hopefully we can make it happen.”

Advanced tickets are $15 for general admission, $30 for ringside (first and second row) and $200 for four at VIP (includes drink vouchers).
