An Ardmore man was arrested on multiple felonies Tuesday, including attempted murder and kidnapping.
Mondrai Jamar Curry, 31, was booked into the Carter County Detention Center at 4:32 p.m.
Curry was initially charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, trafficking in illegal drugs, distribution of controlled substances, possession with intent and arson in the first degree.
According to Carter County Court records, Curry has several previous felony convictions, including domestic abuse, distribution, unlawful possession of a firearm, assault and battery on a police officer and first degree robbery.
Curry was formally charged in District Court with assault and battery with intent to kill, first degree arson, kidnapping, trafficking methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute (marijuana), according to Carter County District Attorney Craig Ladd.
A cash bond was set in the matter at $25,000.
