Funeral services for Carol Madeline Ivory, 86, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The daughter of the late William G. O’Conner and Elizabeth (Holt) O’Conner, Carol was born on Oct. 17, 1932, in Oakland, Calif. and passed away on Oct. 18, 2018, at a Plano, Texas hospital.
Carol and James Eddie Ivory were married April 29, 1951. at Melrose Baptist Church in Oakland, Calif.
A resident of the Lake Kiowa area for the past 21 years, Carol had moved there from Woodford.  She received her Master’s Degree in English Literature from California State University, Berkeley, Calif., which she was very proud of.   Carol was a Librarian and enjoyed gardening, bird watching and especially reading.
She is survived by her daughter, Mickey Stephens and husband Rick, of Marietta; granddaughters, Skylar Brooke Young, of Marietta, Jessica Hays, of Marietta; grandson, Christopher James Ivory, of Atwater, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Brooklinn, Trinity Grace, Conner, Christopher Ty, Colby, Axel, Avielee, Randi Brooke and Weston; brother, William G. O’Conner, of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Bonnie Marzo, of Fremont, Calif.  Preceded in death by her parents; sons, Christopher Michael Ivory and Jim Eddie Ivory; grandson, Justin Ray Ivory; great-grandson, Kaysen Gage Bush.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Garrett Young, Christopher James Ivory, Rick Stephens.
