In their final home game of the regular season, the No. 4 Ringling Blue Devils went out with a bang in a big way.

In their final home game of the regular season, the No. 4 Ringling Blue Devils went out with a bang in a big way.

Ringling reeled off 34 first half points, eventually cruising to a comfortable 55-18 victory at Rick Gandy Memorial Stadium against the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers.

The victory moves the Blue Devils to 9-0 overall and 5-0 in district play. It also assures the Blue Devils can finish no worse than second in district A-4.

At 7:30 p.m. Friday night, the Blue Devils will play for the outright district title against Boone-Apache on the road. 

Chandler Roberts got the Blue Devils on the board in the first quarter with a 54-yard touchdown run to make it 6-0 after the failed extra point.

Ethan Johnson made it 12-0 with a four-yard touchdown run, before Sam Van Buskirk converted the two-point conversion to make it 14-0 at the 3:08 mark of the first.

Drake Stapleton finished off a solid first quarter for the Blue Devils when he caught a three-yard touchdown pass from Van Buskirk to make it 22-0 after the two-point conversion. 

Johnson got his second touchdown of the night less than two minutes into the second quarter when he scored from seven yards out to make it 28-0.

Elmore City-Pernell got on the board with an 83-yard touchdown run from Dalton Brewer to make it 28-6 at the 10:05 mark of the second.

However, the Blue Devils ended the first half in style when Stapleton got a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown to make it 34-6 going into the halftime break. 

Following the interval, the Blue Devils kept the momentum going as Van Buskirk scored a one yard touchdown run just under five minutes into the third to make it 40-6. 

Kyle Lewis got one more consolation touchdown for the Badgers with a 29 yard run to make it 40-12 with just under three minutes to go in the third. 

Once again though, the Blue Devils had a way to end a quarter in style as Scotty Paul got a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to make it 48-12 after three.

Marshall Howell finished the scoring for the Blue Devils in the fourth with a 20-yard touchdown run, before Zack Cargile added the extra point.

Kelby Digby managed to give the Badgers one more touchdown with less than a minute to go from two yards out.

Chandler Roberts led the Blue Devils with 11 carries for 125 yards rushing on the night, with Johnson going for 87 yards on five carries.
