The Ardmore Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance determining  the whereabouts of Renay Juan Moreno, 23, of Grand Prairie, Texas.

In a press release early Thursday, APD said Moreno is believed to be the driver of the vehicle that allegedly eluded Ardmore Police yesterday and ended in a crash near Bixby and Commerce Streets in southwest Ardmore.

Moreno reportedly also goes by the name of Jaime R. Vela and other aliases.  APD said Moreno is believed to be involved in an Aggravated Robbery in the Dallas area and he may be armed with a weapon.

“Moreno is wanted by our agency for Eluding and Possession of Stolen Property,” said APD Sgt. Brice Woolly in the Thursday release. “Moreno was believed to be the driver of the [allegedly] stolen 2005 Pontiac in the pursuit.  Later, the vehicle was reported to be stolen during an armed robbery out of Dallas.”

Investigators said it is unknown if Moreno has any family or friends in the Ardmore area.

APD reported that Moreno was last seen running from the crash.  At that time, Moreno was described as a Hispanic or Latino male, about 5’ 10” and 186 pounds, wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. Moreno also has star tattoos under both eyes.
