The Ardmore Elks Lodge will host its 17th annual Spaghetti Day on Thursday, Nov. 8, at Heritage Hall. For $7, guests will receive all you can eat spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, a dessert and a drink. Children six and under eat free.
The Elks call the event Spaghetti Day because there will be a lunch serving and a dinner serving. Lunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. While music will be playing all day, live musical performances will take place in the evening.
Spaghetti Day is one of four fundraisers the lodge holds annually and Ardmore Elk Vim Patel explained how the money raised at these events is utilized.
“This helps with a lot of the charity work we do,” Patel said. This includes several scholarships, drug awareness programs for area youth, and work with area veterans.
“We are big supporters of our local veterans and we feed everyone there probably two or three times a year,” Patel said.
Tables will be set up for guests to eat at the event or they are welcome to get their orders to go.
“A lot of people don’t have much time off for work lunch,” Patel said. “So we’ve got the boxes and bags to get everything together for them to bring everything back to the office.”
