Catherine Kay Mullins was born on July 21, 1956, in Purcell, to Ancel Theo Dacus and Erna Dean (Ramage) Dacus. She passed away from this life on Oct. 31, 2018, in Ardmore at the age of 62.
Cathy was raised in Pauls Valley for 20 years. There is where she met the love of her life Steve Mullins and married him June 14, 1975. Together they had 43 wonderful years filled with love and happiness. In 1977, she moved to Ardmore and remained there until her final day.
She was a member of the Maxwell Ave Church of Christ, along with the glitter girls club. Cathy had many hobbies and interest she enjoyed, such as planting flowers, reading books, or shopping. But her greatest enjoyment of these was playing with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish Catherine’s memory is her husband; Stephen Mullins, of the home, her father; Theo Dacus, of Lindsay, two children; Andy Mullins and wife Marsha, of Ardmore, Heather Thompson and husband David, of Fate, Texas, one brother; Dale Dacus and wife Eileen, of Pauls Valley and four grandchildren; Logan and Cooper Thompson, of Fate, Texas and Layla and Lilly Mullins of Ardmore.
She is preceded in death by her mother; Erna Dean Dacus, one brother; Jimmy Dacus, her father-in-law: David Mullins, and mother-in-law; Dorothy Mullins.
A Funeral Service to honor Catherine’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at the Church of Christ in Lindsay with Pastor Raynard Screws officiating. Following the service she will be laid to her final rest at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay.
