While most of the attention in high school sports is focused on football right now, the Turner Falcons and Lady Falcons went about getting their 2018-19 seasons going in a big way Friday night at home against Mill Creek.

While most of the attention in high school sports is focused on football right now, the Turner Falcons and Lady Falcons went about getting their 2018-19 seasons going in a big way Friday night at home against Mill Creek. 

The Lady Falcons had little trouble in their contest as they won 64-43.

Turner led 18-10 after the first quarter, before scoring 18 points in the second quarter, while holding Mill Creek to just nine, leading to a 36-19 halftime lead.

After the break, the Lady Faclons pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Mill Creek 26-11.

Despite being outscored 13-2 in the fourth quarter, the Lady Falcons had done more than enough to claim the victory.

Jaleigh Durst led the Lady Falcons with 19 points followed by Ryleigh Parker with 15 and Kodi Durst with 10 points. 

It was a winning start for new Falcons head coach Jimmy Voight, as Turner claimed a 55-42 victory in the boys game.

A 30-16 first half sent the Falcons on their way, as they were outscored 26-25 in the second half.

Justice Hartman led the Faclons with 14 points followed by Tyler Campbell and Colton Empey each with 11 points.
