On Tuesday, the citizens of District 49 spoke and re-elected Republican Tommy Hardin to the State House of Representatives. With all precincts reporting, he secured victory with 7,602 votes to Democratic opponent Miranda Shelton’s 3,696.
“I want to thank the voters for another chance to represent them for another two years,” Hardin said Tuesday evening. He went on to state his plans for the 2019 Legislative Session.
“I want to tackle some of the harder problems this year,” Hardin said. “I’d like to start by getting these agencies back in line and working for the people.
His opponent, Miranda Shelton, was unavailable for comment.
