Funeral services for Liddie Florine Crawley, 98, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Roy Fountain.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens cemetery, McAlester.
Daughter of the late William Madison Housley and Syntha Pearl (Wilson) Housley, Florine was born Dec. 14, 1919, at Cedar Glades, Ark.,  and  moved to Oklahoma at the age of 12.  Florine was a graduate of Limestone Gap High School at Stringtown.
Florine and Sanford Crawley were married June 24, 1939, at Savanna, and made their home in McAlester, where they worshiped faithfully at the First Assembly of God Church. They had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary, when Sanford preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1987.
One of her favorite pastimes was sewing and Florine had won many awards for her quilting skill. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden where many beautiful flowers grew profusely, thanks to her green thumb.
Florine had moved to Ardmore two years ago from McAlester to be closer to her family. She went from life to Life Everlasting, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, at an Ardmore assisted living facility.
Florine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ida Jean and J. D. Dunn of Gene Autry; her grandsons and wives, Matt and Meredith Dunn of Ardmore and Steven and Beth Watts, Yukon; granddaughters and husbands, Rhonda and Alex Gurrola, Md., and Stacy Dunn and James Stinson, Eugene, Ore.; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; also sisters, Lida Harper, Hot Springs, Ark., and Dortha Tarrant, Forreston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Florine was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Burton Housley.
