An Ardmore man was booked into the Carter County Detention Center Friday on charges of larceny of an automobile, aircraft or other motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools.
According to Carter County District Court records, Robert Wade Nichols, 26, was arrested after allegedly attempting to take a 2001 red AVSO motorcycle.
If convicted of the felony larceny charge, Nichols would face up to five years imprisonment with the Department of Corrections or a fine of three times the value of the alleged stolen property or both. Charges were also filed for the misdemeanor charge of possession of burglary tools.
 A cash bond of $1,000 was ordered for Nichols and the preliminary conference was set for January 3.
