It’s no secret when it comes to boys cross country, success is just a way of life across the area.

It’s no secret when it comes to boys cross country, success is just a way of life across the area.

This season was no exception.

The Marietta Indians claimed their third state title in program history, while two area runners claimed individual state titles this year.

Now the time has come to reveal the runners who will make up the 2018 All-Ardmoreite boys cross country team. 

Representing the Marietta Indians will be state champion Zane Nutter, Preston Wisenhunt, Danny Sanchez, and Chase Waterhouse.

Nutter was crowned as the individual state champion for Class 3A this season, while Whisenhunt finished as the state runner-up.

Sanchez finished sixth overall and made the medal stand, while Waterhouse finished 10th overall, also making the medal stand. 

Representing the Sulphur Bulldogs will be Samuel Barker, who was the top finisher for Sulphur at the state meet this season. 

Karson Clemons will be representing Lone Grove High School, as he was one of two Longhorn runners this season to qualify for the state meet. 

Representing the Madill Wildcats will be state champion Miguel Duran, and teammate Diego Ibarra.

Duran won the individual state title in Class 4A this season, finishing with a time of 16:47 which was ahead of second placed Richard Bolt from Seminole, while Ibarra also made the medal stand with a 15th place finish, clocking in with a time of 17:47 for the state meet. 

Representing the Plainview Indians will be Michael Lloyd, who was the top finisher for the Plainview boys at the state meet this season as he clocked in with an overall time of 18:29. 

At the state meet, the Madill Wildcats placed fifth overall as a team, with the Plainview Indians earning 10th overall.

Sulphur meanwhile finished in ninth overall this season at the state meet.
